About Kyoto Genmaicha “Kamiharu Iruru”
This tea is a blend of Uji sencha and roasted glutinous rice toasted over binchotan charcoal. The Uji sencha is harvested from the area around Ujitawara, known as the birthplace of green tea. Its clear, fresh flavor and refreshing aroma perfectly complement the gentle, roasted nuttiness of the rice.
Pickled Cherry Blossoms
These are carefully selected edible double-petaled cherry blossoms grown in the Odawara area of Kanagawa Prefecture. Each cluster of petals is hand-picked and pickled by hand in individual barrels. Simply pour tea over the pickled blossoms to enjoy. If desired, you can rinse off any excess salt before serving.
