There are many restaurants in Enoshima, but this is the one whose seafood we have enjoyed the most in the island. Their clams (hamaguri) are some of the best we have ever had in the entire country.
What makes it special
This restaurant has 2 dishes that we will never forget! One is the already mentioned clams and the other one is their half don from the image below. The half don has both namashirasu (raw whitebait) and shirasu (whitebait). As of my personal taste, I love the raw one (no pun intended lol).
If you don’t like raw food, you can just order the “Shirasu don” instead of the half don.
Half Don at Kimura from Enoshima. Half of it is nama (raw) shirasu and the other half is shirasu.
Don’t forget to add shouyu (soy sauce) to the half don, specially the nama shirasu part that makes it taste much better.
As of the interior of the restaurant, it feels as if you have been invited to a traditional warm Japanese home. We liked it!
